Our constituent-led programs utilize the many resources already present in the Pine River Valley to enhance social and economic justice for people from Vallecito to Arboles, and all the communities in between.

Using a consensus based decision model, Community Leaders have developed programs for sharing food, clothing, support, and skills. We have a no-cost Freecycle Clothing Unit with items for all seasons. Our Free Food Project can help supplement your pantry – or if you have extra, bring it in to share with other families. Perhaps you’re a new mom who feels isolated – become part of our Parent Connection program, and meet other parents in your area. Learn or teach a skill – anything from computers to belly dancing!

We feel that people most affected by issues are in the best position to tackle them. Therefore, residents interested in building stronger community connections helped develop our monthly
Community Dinners. People who feel strongly about the health of local residents manage our Free Food Project and BK4K Backpack Program.

You can play a role in creating healthy, thriving communities in the Pine River Valley too. Just come to one of our meetings and bring your ideas and issues to the table.
